Wt. 1 pd 7 oz. Julian Barrow was an artist and a world traveler, noted for his landscapes, cityscapes, conversation-pieces and, above all, for his paintings of country houses. Julian Barrow studied painting in Florence. He is best known for his landscapes and paintings of country houses, conversation pieces and interiors. He exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition many times, has one man shows regularly at the Fine Art Society in London and at the W M Brady Gallery in New York. He was the President of the Chelsea Arts Society. He traveled extensively in India,South East Asia,Italy and the USA. His studio was in Tite Street, Chelsea, London in a Victorian building of studios once occupied by Sargent, Whistler and Augustus John. PROVENANCE: A Private London, UK and Charleston SC Collection.
