Framed early 19th century oval Portrait Painting on ivory, 3"H X 2 1/2"L depicting a naval officer set into a 5"H X 4 1/4"L dark wood frame that has been mounted into a raised floral border 9 1/4"H X 8 3/4"L gilt wood frame. Paper covering on back states that the portrait was painted in 1816 in New York by an artist named Miller. Condition: Portrait is in very good condition with no damage. Alligatoring and loss on inner frame. Wear and loss on gilt frame.
