Description
Four Enameled Silver Boxes The first is a peach-form box enameled with a bird perched on a peony branch and featuring prunus blossoms on the sides; the second is an oval ink box with a pair of bat-form hinged lids centering a cylindrical compartment, the foliated sides are decorated with Daoist immortals; the third is a melon-form cosmetic box with a hinged lid decorated with a bat and flowers, the interior of the lid is inset with a glass mirror; the fourth is an oblong-form match box decorated with a multitude of flowers and plants. Late 19th/Early 20th Century Widest: 4 1/4 inches (10.8 cm) Provenance:Private Minneapolis, Minnesota Estate, and thence by descent within the family to the current owner.
