A collection of miscellaneous pottery vessels, circa 1 st millennium B.C. - 5 th century A.D., including a heavy twin-handled vessel with broad neck and everted rim, the lower squat body with small looped handles where it meets the neck, the surface with added umber slip and applied banding around the neck and rim in added blue and crimson slip, with three blocks of four vertical wavy lines on each side of the body, 17.5cm high; a thin-walled pottery bowl with ridged inner rim, 16.2cm diam; a small juglet with bulbous body and pinched-in lip set at right angles to the small looped handle, 8.3cm high; a grey-ware pottery bowl with cut-away spout and loop handle set at right angles to the body, 15cm wide; a small terracotta face mask, 5.3cm high and a Roman terra sigillata vessel fragment with a soldier, 5cm, set in mount; an Egyptian steatite scaraboid of a human face , 18th Dynasty (1550-1292 B.C.), the underside carved with a hunting scene, 2.4cm high; a Late Antique silver spoon , the octagonal handle squared-off at the terminal and open with two leaf tendrils where the long curved neck and head of a swan support the oval bowl, 10.4cm long and a modern metal spoon with scallop-shaped bowl and twisted handle, 14.9cm long Provenance: Deceased Estate, west London
