This is a large woven mask with faded blue, white and red pigment that was made to be used in festivals surrounding the yam, the crucial crop of the Abelam people who live in the Maprik district. The mask has shell in center forehead with distinctive round eyes, ears and nose with feathers on top and bottom. Dimensions: H 28" x W 18" x 20.5"
