Description
Erté also known as Romain de Tirtoff (Russian/ French, 1892-1990), "Harlequin", limited edition serigraph, edition noted and signed in graphite in lower margin "75/300 Erté", with label to verso "Silk Screen Signed and Numbered by the Artist Harlequin Erté". Figural print depicting opera scene with dancing harlequin in full garb on stage before a large crowd, the stage with lit candle surround, the harlequin tossing a flower to a beautiful woman in a box seat just off the stage, the woman with exaggerated beauty mark, elaborate dress and sheer hand fan. Framed approximately 36.75" x 29.75". Sheet size sight approximately 28" x 21".
