COMMEMORATIVE WROUGHT-IRON CANDLE CHANDELIER, twisted shaft with applied crossbar bearing a riveted "1668" and "I W" above a four-petal tulip, supporting six twisted, single-socket arms. Small hole at the end of each arm below socket and at lower tip of shaft. Later hanging ring. The date likely commemorating the founding of a tavern or other public meeting area. 18th century or later. 28" HOA, 21" DOA.
Good condition with no breaks, minor loss to lower edge of one socket, expected moderate pitting and rust.
