ROBERT E. LEE CDV PHOTOGRAPH, TINTED AND SIGNED BY MARY CUSTIS LEE, being an image of the famous profile portrait of Lee in uniform attributed to Mathew Brady, the original image bearing Lee's signature. Inscribed "Tinted for the benefit of the Memorial Church at Lexington, VA by Mary Custis Lee" on verso. Blind stamped for the Lee Gallery, Richmond. Mary Custis Lee (1808-1873) was the great-granddaughter of Martha Washington and the wife of Robert E. Lee. 1865-1873. 4" x 2 1/2".
Excellent overall condition, minor rub above head.
