AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART STILL-LIFE PAINTING, oil on canvas, an outstanding example, richly detailed and vibrant in coloration, depicting a bountiful harvest of flowers, strawberries, grapes, pears, and apples, along with a glass of milk on a shaped marble top, no signature located, remnants of 19th century framer's label attached verso. Housed in a 19th century molded-wood frame with ebonized surface. Third quarter 19th century. 37 3/4" x 29 3/4" sight, 45" x 37 1/2" OA.
Very good original condition on original stretchers with scattered minor craquelure and surface abrasions, very small puncture (1/2" diameter) with old patch lower right corner. Very minor scattered inpainting to background. Frame with possibly later surface.
