BRITISH SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) PORTRAIT OF AN OFFICER, oil on artist's board, half-length depiction of gentleman with sideburns, wearing a red officer's jacket with double row of gold buttons and gold epaulets, inscribed to board verso "D. Butchart, Honourable East India Company’s Service". Housed in a 19th century figured maple frame with gilt liner. Mid 19th century. 8 3/4" x 7" sight, 12" x 10 1/2" OA.
Scattered crazing and some discoloration. Minor wear to frame.
