Summerly scenery with bench under trees in a park in the style of impressionism

Condition:
The watercolor shows slight rippling. There are scattered marks, traces of water and a rubbed spot at the upper and at the left edge. On the reverse are traces of mold. The frame shows the usual signs of age and wear. The sheet measures 34.5 x 29.5 cm and the frame dimensions are 38 x 32.5 cm.

Olga Aleksandrovna Romanova (1882-1960)
Olga Aleksandrovna Romanova was Grand Duchess of Russia and daughter of the czar Alexander III. and his wife Maria Fjodorowna. Aleksandrovna, who firstly lived in the palace in St. Petersburg, was artistically talented and painted mainly park landscapes, garden scenes, flower paintings, still lifes and interiors in the style of impressionism. Due to the political changes in Russia and Europe in the first half of the 20th century Aleksandrovna fled to Denmark after the October Revolution and at the end of the 1940s she emigrated to Canada, where she spent the rest of her life.
