Description
Jean-Michel Basquiat (attributed) red and black oil stick drawing on torn paper. "Negroes, Negroes, Negroes." Signed in pencil. 14 5/8 x 13 7/8 inches. Good condition. [Basquiat created a number of drawings on torn sheets of paper.] Unframed.
Provenance: Originally from a prominent California collector, now deceased, who presumably acquired the drawing directly from a friend of Andy Warhol's (who also knew Basquiat)
Attributed Lots: This lot is being offered as attributed, meaning in part that neither we nor the consignor can guaranty that the work in question is wholly or partly by the artist to whom it is ascribed. The attribution is based merely on our opinion, not that of an expert. Contrary opinions may exist. Please read our Terms & Conditions of Sale (Authentication and Provenance of Attributed Lots) before placing a bid.
