Furnival & Sons Staffordshire "Trentham" Aesthetic Black Transferware Chamber Pot and Lid c. 1870s. A rare and vary hard to find pattern. Made at Furnival & Sons Staffordshire Falleries, this is esthetic Movement pattern - RD # 95739. Beginning as Thomas Furnival & Sons at the Elder Road, Cobridge, Staffordshire Potteries in 1871,the factory remained static until 1890,when the name was changed to Furnivals LTD. Measures 10.50x9x8. Wt. 5 pds. PROVENANCE: The Estate of a Litchfield Connecticut Antique & Art Dealer.
Condition
think hairlie by handle, small repair to lip (hard to see if lid is on). Displays quite well.
