Description
A very fine Japanese Imari ware porcelain vase, Meiji era, late 19th century. The tapering body with trumpet neck decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze iron red, green and gilt, with floral vine pattern in lower band below graceful design of irises beneath a lappet foliate border encircling the upper neck. Unmarked. Measures 37 x 19 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Condition
Very good condition. There are no chips, there are no cracks, there are no repairs or restoration of any type to any degree. The gold decoration shows light to moderate wear.
