Description
China, end of Qing (Ching) Dynasty, ca. last quarter of the 19th century. Very fine and thinly potted porcelain cup with lid. Blue over white in floral patterns, cup and lid each with extensive Chinese characters (TRanslated, it says: "You should have a rest when everything is fine, and you will have white hair [exhaustion of body and mind] when you are in the group of the rich and powerful). Identical maker's marks on top of lid and bottom of cup. Lovely! Size: 5" W x 3.25" H (12.7 cm x 8.3 cm)
