Description
Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Nazca, Ca. 125 to 250 BCE. A polychrome terracotta vessel with thin walls and a rounded bottom, adorned with a register of abstract trophy head variants in hues of red, chocolate brown, and tan beneath a chocolate brown rim and above a pointed light brown band which is in turn above a red band, all upon a cream ground with a chocolate brown lower rim to complement the upper rim. A very nice example. Size: 4.5" in diameter x 5.25" H (11.4 cm x 13.3 cm)
