Ca. 1900, Beautiful traditionally made buckskin warrior's shirt with sinew sewn and lazy stitch beaded geometric panels and collar tabs, quill wrapped bound hair suspensions, and fringed trim. This is from the collection of Joseph O'Leary who notes it was originally collected in 1912. O'Leary was a curator at the Peabody Museum in the mid 1900s and his famous collection was sold at Christie's in 1994. This shirt was purchased then for $13,800 by the present owner. Very good condition and a rare find. 31" long
