Description
A 19th century gold enamel pendant. The enamel cylinder, depicting Oriental figures, possibly Mandarin scholars attending Fenghuang or birds of fantasy, within blossoming trees on a light blue ground, the terminals with glazed compartments. One glazed terminal deficient. French assay marks. Length 2.5cms. Total weight 3.7gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear in keeping with general age and wear. Probably converted from another item. One of the glazed mounts to the terminal is deficient. Enamel is in good condition, few scratches, one shallow chip at one terminal. Diameter 0.7cm.
