A late Victorian gold, sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The oval-shape sapphire, with old-cut diamond surround and stylised foliate sides. Estimated total diamond weight 0.65ct. Ring size K1/2. Weight 4.4gms.

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

Probable replacement sapphire.

Central mount with uneven claws and finish.

Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Scattered, varied inclusions, some surface reaching.

Sapphire is a medium dark blue hue, noticeable colour zoning, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.

Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

Diameter of ring head 11.5mms.
