Description
re-Columbian, Mayan Territories, ca. 550 to 900 CE. Lovely and rare carved brown jade pendant. Carved from a rare brown variety of jade - does not scratch with a knife point - in the form of a standing lord. He wears large headdress, earspools, hands clasped at his chest. Biconically drilled hole through side. A rare and fine example. Size: 1.25" W x 2.5" H (3.2 cm x 6.4 cm)
