AMERICAN "KENTUCKY BEAUTY" OVERSHOT COVERLET, brown and natural, wool weft over linen warp, two panels not joined with rolled hems on each end; one piece is woven with brown and darker brown/black weft. 19th century. 30 1/2" x 95 3/4" and 31 1/4" x 96".
Very good, several areas of weft loss.
Provenance: Property deaccessioned by The Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA), to benefit the collections and acquisitions funds.
