Description
AMERICAN CROCHETED BEDCOVERS, LOT OF THREE, including one "popcorn-style" and one with fringe on three sides. Together with one unfinished example and bag of remaining unattached pieces. Five pieces total. Fourth quarter 19th to first quarter 20th century. Various sizes.
Fringed example with toning/staining, remainder very good to excellent with minor toning.
Provenance: Property Deaccessioned from the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association.
Catalogue Note: Accession number M-1100 was presented to the MVLA in 1925 and previously owned by Dr. Murray Galt Motter.
Accession number M-2462 was presented to the MVLA in 1965, and previously owned by Agnes Morgey, Baltimore, Maryland with a history of being among the effects of the estate of Mrs. Marques H. Morgey.
