A charming Centaur Deluxe ladies wrist watch, in 9K gold, with a Swiss ETA movement, England, circa 1969. This fine timepiece has been superbly crafted out of 9 karat white gold. It has a beautiful white dial and matching silver baton hour markers. It has been finished with a complementary fold over clasp. The overall condition is excellent with the watch having all its original parts inside and out and it is keeping very good time. It was fully serviced in December 2014. It weighs approximately 33.88 grams and measures 6.5 inches (16.51 cm) long, with the option to be tighter, by 0.63 inches (1.6 cm) wide across the band. The face measures 0.59 inches (1.5 cm) wide by 0.59 inches (1.5 cm) tall. The watch face is marked Centaur Deluxe 17 Jewels Incabloc Swiss Made. The band has a full set of British hallmarks: WHC LC, 9 and 375 for 9Kt gold (confirmed with acid testing), with the Birmingham city mark and U for 1969. The inner case is marked with British makers mark B & S, 418475, a full set of hallmarks and S for 1967. The manual winding movement is marked 17 Jewels Swiss and with ETA symbol for ETA SA, Swiss Watch Manufacturer. Delightful!
