Either Turkish or Greek, of unusual form having a broad single edged blade of very nice and uncommon Damascus steel showing active watered patterns throughout. One side of the blade with a very large heavily silver inlaid cartouche. Horn grips in traditional Ottoman style and an unusual long S-turned cross guard of steel. Good condition, 19th century or earlier.

Overall length 37 1/2 in., 95.5 cm, blade length is 32 1/2 in., 82.5 cm.
