Mid-19th century, partially rubbed signature to face ''J. M*yer'', movement marked ''HP & Co.'' over ''29'' within a diamond, further numerically marked ''3673'' and ''52'', with Japy Freres grande medaille d'honneur pastille, surmounted overall by a gilt bronze-mounted pink porcelain urn highlighted with gilt painted scrollwork and green and blue ''jewels'', the chamfered rectangular case with pink porcelain columns at the corners, the porcelain face with black Roman numeral hour markers and painted putti, over an inset porcelain panel depicting the punishment of Cupid, atop a scrolled foliate-clad plinth, on toupie feet, 15.75'' H x 8.75'' W x 7.25'' D, est: $500/700

Condition
Lacking key and pendulum; working condition unknown. Overall good condition, with general scratches, wear and darkening to gilt bronze commensurate with age. Bow-tied foliate mount with a break to ribbon element; right side foliate swag with a .125''-wide puncture to button element. One verso column somewhat loose. Scattered nicks and scratches to porcelain columns; the largest an approximately .25'' x .5'' shallow chip to rear right column.
