Description
The February 26-March 1, 1693 issue of The London Gazette, printed at the Savoy by Thomas Newcomb. On the back page an interesting news brief from London on the trials and sentences of several mariners including those who "were severally indicted for Piratically taking and carrying away two English Merchant ships..". Goes on to say they were condemned to be hanged as Pyrates. In addition others were convicted of High Treason by "in adhering to their Majesties enemies.." and also sentenced to death. Much else including rebels in Scotland seizing a Bark. News from the European content as well. Fine condition, measures 7 x 11".
