March 11, 1848 broadside, "Order of Procession of the Funeral Ceremonies of the Late Hon. John Quincy Adams." Issued by J. L. Dimmick, the Chief Marshal of the procession, this broadside contains instructions for how and when to assemble for the funeral procession in Quincy, Massachusetts, in honor of ex-President John Quincy Adams. Accompanied by a partly-printed vellum document with secretarial "Martin Van Buren" signature, Kalamazoo, MI, May 1, 1839, 1 page, oblong large 4to. Land grant issued to Edward Parsons of Springfield, Massachusetts for property located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Retains embossed paper and wax federal seal at bottom left. With a folio reproduction of a letter from John Adams to Chrétien-Guillaume de Lamoignon de Malesherbes, 19 August 1790. Three Items total.

Age-toning, horizontal fold at center, adhesive residue at extreme left edge, and loss to bottom left corner. Dimensions: 17.00 " H x 11.00 " W.
