Description
Comprises: 1.) Jugate postcard with portraits of Taft and Bryan at either side flanking printed text "At the right is Willie B. / At the left is Willie T. / In the White House soon will be / The Honorable Willie....... / (Here insert B or T)." Imprinted at bottom "Copyright 1908, I. Grollman." 2.) Satirical illustrated postcard with depiction of a man and three babies. Bears printed poem "The Much Married Man / See Poor papa with footsteps unsteady...And you bet that he won't vote for Teddy!" 3.) Comical postcard with illustration of baseball game in which Uncle Sam is referee, Bryan is catcher, and the G.O.P. elephant is at bat with Roosevelt coaching. Bears text "Presidential Campaign 1908 / G.O.P. at Bat." 4.) Satirical illustrated postcard with text "The Republican Party is in Power / Isn't a change desirable?" Depicts a canister with blown out bottom imprinted "The Bottom is out of the 'Full Dinner Pail' ." Verso bears a small duo-tone portrait of Bryan. 5.) Illustrated postcard depicting a young girl dismissively passing by a earnest looking boy with caption below "No Taft Man for Me!" 6.) Mechanical postcard depicting the Democratic Donkey. Text relates "Pull my tail and see the next President. Through a hole at the tail is a affixed string that, when pulled sides out a duo-tone portrait of Bryan. 7.) Mechanical advertising card for Dutch Java Coffee. Bears a rectangular window with imprinted strip "The Next President" below which is a portrait of Taft. When tab at bottom is pulled, the imprinted strip lowers and begins to reveal a portrait of Bryan. Verso relates "Manufactured...by Isaac H. Blanchard Co. / New York." 8.) Duo-tone portrait of Bryan contained in a paper envelope imprinted "Moving Picture Ballot Box Puzzle / H.D. Hooge / Manufacturer 114 Liberty St. New York. 9.) Green felt and elastic armband with imprint "Taft."
