Up for auction is this german trench knife or paratroopers knife. We at M&K have never seen one like it before. It comes with original scabbard. It folds and has hand engraved dragons on each side of the blade. We were unsure where to classify it as it appears to be customized as a form of trench art. It is both beautiful and functional. It opens to just under 11" as pictured. The blade is in fair condition. We would describe the overall condition as good. It is stamped made in Germany. We feel the handle and etchings in the blade were constructed by the soldier/artist who owned the piece. Due to it's lack of provenance and overall o.k. condition this item is being sold without a reserve.

Fair to good. Scratches, wear to blade and knife overall. Small rust and pitting. Opens and closes smoothly. It also locks in place when folded.
