Description

DESCRIPTION: A Pennsylvania corner cupboard, cherry with poplar secondary wood, circa 1840-50. The form consisting of turned front feet supporting a double paneled door cupboard base surmounted by four drawers and a double glazed (eight light each door) pair of doors. The entire case with an elaborate crest and appears to be original "H" hinges and brasses. The inside of the cabinet with fitted shelves cutout for the storage of spoons. Exterior with a lovely old alligatored finish and the interior with a later red wash. MEASUREMENTS: 90" x 57" x 28". CONDITION: Appears in excellent shape.
