ALLACH SS STANDARD BEARER
Porcelain statue, approx. 13" tall, a very rare depiction of an SS soldier in full dress uniform with a gorget and helmet, manufactured by the Allach porcelain factory at Dachau. This is the first version of this statue, featuring a dagger in a leather hanger at his side, as opposed to later versions, which featured a chain dagger hanger. The statue is marked on the base: "T. Karner 42", with an Allach SS "sig" runes hallmark. This example is unfortunately missing both arms, which have broken off below the shoulder, as well as the handle of the dagger. The rim of the helmet is also chipped. Still a very desirable piece.
