61, [5] pp. Illustrated with 7 lithographic plates and 8 pen & ink drawings printed by Mourlot Freres. (4to) yellow stiff printed wrappers, original glassine, beige board slipcase. One of 1800 copies.
This copy contains an additional laid in lithograph signed and numbered (12/50 [?]) by Villon in pencil. Also laid in is a photograph of Villon, inscribed and dated by him in 1950, to Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Reis. Bernard Reis was the director of the Marlborough Gallery in New York, and the executor of the estate of Mark Rothko . Additionally, tipped in the front of the volume is an original pen drawing inscribed by Villon to the Reis family and dated: "Paris, 20 September, 1950."
Condition
Fair amount of wear and soiling to case, splits along edges, light wear to wrappers and glassine; some offsetting to pages; very good.
