After Roy Lichtenstein (American, 1923-1997), "Girl with Hair Ribbon"-1965. An exhibition poster (off-set lithograph) for the Guggenheim Museum (American, founded 1939) after the original "Girl with Hair Ribbon" by noted American pop artist Roy Lichtenstein (American, 1923-1997) announcing the exhibition of the Lichtenstein's work, the poster apparently signed in ink at lower right. Figural pop art poster depicting the face of a beautiful blonde woman with a red, white and blue ribbon tied in her hair, with inscriptions to lower margin "Roy Lichtenstein October 8, 1993 - January 16, 1994 Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum". Unframed approximately 28.5" x 24".
Condition
Print is not lined or backed. Print is on smooth paper. Slight wave to sheet; not overwhelming. Small dent noted to lower left margin; not overwhelming or affecting printed area. Speck of discoloration to highlight on figure’s face; likely ink and original to piece, not distracting. Overall image demonstrates plastic corners holding piece to supporting foam board; not indicative of damage.
