Description
After Roy Lichtenstein (American, 1923-1997), "Brushstrokes"-1967. An exhibition poster (silkscreen) for the Pasadena Art Museum (American, founded 20th century) after the original "Brushstrokes" by noted American pop artist Roy Lichtenstein (American, 1923-1997) announcing the exhibition of the Lichtenstein's work, the poster apparently signed in ink at lower center (spurious). Figural pop art poster depicting brushstrokes rendered in the artist's signature "comic illustration" style, with words woven into image "April-May 1967 Pasadena Art Museum Roy Lichtenstein". Unframed approximately 24.75" x 33".
Condition
Print is not lined or backed. Print is on smooth paper. Slight wave to sheet; not overwhelming. Small discoloration to upper left corner. Small area of discoloration to lower right quadrant; likely ink and original to piece. Overall image demonstrates plastic corners holding piece to supporting foam board; not indicative of damage.
