Description
Chinese, circa 1820. A scarce Chinese Export porcelain green Fitzhugh pattern Armorial circular dish or plate decorated with the crest of Rawson and motto "LAUS VIRTUTIS ACTIO" within four clusters of scholars and floral sprays, the rim decorated with leiwen, butterflies, and patterned panels. Approximate diameter 9.5".

Condition
Very large area of repair to rime of plate, visible to reverse of plate where the surface has yellowed, roughly half of circumference. Some hairlines visible to front. Several other areas of repair and hairline cracking. Some glaze pops and pitting.
