Pair of Pierre Paulin (1927-2009) for Artifort Ribbon Chairs, France, Netherlands, each in beige upholstery, joined to a shaped beechwood base, and each retaining the retailer's printed label "James Callahan Interiors, Palm Springs, California", h. 28-1/2", w. 40-1/2", d. 26".

In good "as found" condition. Both chairs are tight and very solid, and exhibit wear and minor mars consistent with age and use. The upholstery is very slightly stretched/loose over the frame at some points. Exhibits some wear. Both chairs exhibit some stains/discoloration/bleaching to the upholstery on the front of the legs just above the base. One has a larger such stain near the rear side near the base. The foam underlying the upholstery does not exhibit any apparent lumps or degradation to its elasticity. The wooden bases exhibit some nicks, mars and abrasions from use.
