Description
Group of three Continental majolica plates, 19th century, comprising: (1) with pink blossoms and green vines on a turquoise ground, verso mottled green and brown, unmarked but with kiln marks, 8.26"dia. Condition: 3" hairline to the back rim, 1/4" rub with glaze loss near rim and glaze skips; (1) with a scalloped rim having wild roses on a mustard ground with green leaves, marked with the impressed Sarreguemine mark, 8.25"dia. Condition: Crazing and 1"hairline; and (1) with a scrollwork rim haivng pink rose buds, birds, and leaves on a turquoise ground, verso pale blue, unmarked, 8"dia. Condition: 2.5" hairline at rim, 1/4"chip to rim.
