Description
Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, reign of Tuthmosis III, 1479 to 1425 BCE. This is a very fine example of one of the most commonly-found Egyptian artifacts, a glazed scarab carved from steatite (soapstone) bearing double cartouches on its underside. Very fine craftsmanship with excellent details. Size: 0.75" L x 0.6" W x 0.3" H (1.9 cm x 1.5 cm x 0.8 cm)
