This is a set of four volumes in the trigesimo-secundo (32mo) printing size, with mottled calfskin covers and mottled marks on the edges of the pages; the spines are gilded and have floral designs. The volumes come from The Works of the British Poets with Lives of the Authors, compiled and written by Ezekiel Sanford, and printed by William Brown. The volumes contained here are: IV, Davies and etc.; XV, Prior and etc.; XVIII, Swift; and XXX, Goldsmith, Langhorse, and Smart. Presumably the volume in Jonathan Swift will be of most interest to modern readers. All volumes have a later book plate (ex-libris) with a coat of arms for Crosby. Size: 3.8" W x 5.75" H (9.7 cm x 14.6 cm).
