Description
AMERICAN HISTORICAL PRINTS, LOT OF TWO, hand-colored lithograph on paper (each), scenes involving Native Americans, one titled "DEATH OF TECUMSEH", and the other titled "POCAHONTAS SAVING THE LIFE OF CAPT JOHN SMITH", both published by Nathaniel Currier in New York. Each housed under glass in a 19th-century frame. 1840-1860. Tecumseh 13 1/4" x 9 3/8" sight, 16 3/8" x 12 3/8" OA.
Pocahontas with fading, toning, foxing, and large area of discoloration at center image. Tecumseh with light fading and toning, minor areas of foxing and discoloration. Frames with wear. Not examined out of frames.
