East Branch & Lincoln Railroad Locomotive Bell

Item Details

Description

I am not sure which locomotive this little bell is from but it is from the Alan Thomas collection and his wife canâ€™t remember which locomotive it's from. It has no markings. Certainly not a large locomotve. It measures just 8" in diameter with a height of 6" It has a beautiful acorn finial and it has brass mounting hardware. It's not that heavy as bells go. Included with the bell is paperwork from the East Branch & Lincoln Railroad locomotives and their successor lines. This was a logging railroad in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and most of it is now hiking trails. As I dig through this collection I may find definitive photograph(s) or other documentation that I will be happy to pass along.
