The print has been removed from the frame and found to have an 'ARCHES' watermark close to the sheet edge. This is a torn edge, not a deckle edge. It is now known that there are some spurious Miro prints in circulation that are printed on wove paper that originally had an 'ARCHES' watermark with an infinity symbol beneath - a type of watermark not found on original prints. So, before printing, the sheets were torn just below the name 'ARCHES' thus eliminating the infinity symbol in an attempt to duplicate the original papers. The top plate mark is double, showing two plate marks, whereas the sides and bottom do not. The signature is convincing and the colors are good and bright, but because of the watermark and the fact that the print is marked 'H.C', there may be doubts about the authenticity of this piece
