Joan Miro (Spanish, 1893-1983), limited edition 1977 Amnesty International commissioned lithograph, signed lower right and editioned 68/75 in pencil, 34"h x 23 3/4" w (view), 42" h x 31 1/4" w (frame). Artist for Amnesty was a series of signed and numbered prints by fifteen world-renowned artists to focus on Amnesty International's Prisoners of Conscience Year, and was exhibited February-March, 1977 in the Washington Place windows of NYU's Grey Art Gallery. Provenance: lithograph was a gift to the consignor from Amnesty International; from the collection of Dr. William F. Schulz, the Executive Director of Amnesty International USA from 1994-2006.
