This guitar was a gift from Les Paul and bears a joking inscription on the front of the body, reading "Now ya got a Les Paul." Paul was known for gifting cheap signed guitars as "joke" gifts that to many of his friends, including Eddie Van Halen, B.B. King, and Eric Clapton. This particular guitar was sent to Johnny by Les Paul as a memento in the period shortly before Paul's death. Acoustic guitar with a dark finish on neck and headstock and a lighter finisher on body.
