Japan, Momoyama period, around 1600
Of cylindrical shape with low stand ring, hand formed (tebineri chawan)
The body largely covered with black glaze and reserves with abstract geometric patterns in white slip
With old fabric pouch (shifuku) and inscribed wooden box, hand written appraisal (kiwamesho)
