Description
A pair of Parthian bronze bracelets, c. 1st - 3rd Century AD, the first is silver and in the form of a stylized snake with incised line and circle decoration and central cruciform device. 2 3/8 in x 2 1/8 in (6 x 5.4 cm). The second piece is a bronze cuff bracelet fashioned from a thin strip of bronze and decorated with incised geometric design. 2 1/4 in x 2 1/8 in (5.7 x 5.4 cm), 13mm in width. Both are nice examples. Both ex Colosseum Coin Exchange Sales, the silver bracelet acquired (June. 1985) lot 291 and the bronze bracelet purchased (Jan. 1989) lot 403.
