Description
Mabel Dwight was an interesting figure among American female artists. She was studying and making art as early as 1895. In 1926, at the age of 52, she found her artistic calling through an introduction to lithography while studying in Paris. Her chosen technique resulted in a distinctive 'velvety' effect to her prints. From 1935 until 1939, the year this image was created, she worked under the WPA and FAP projects. This lithograph was published in an edition of 250 prints and is signed in pencil by the artist lower right, the image size is 10 x 10.75 inches, sheet size is 12 x 13.75, frame size is 18 x 18.5 inches. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
