Late 19th/early 20th century, each with blue intertwined ''L'' maker's mark centering ''A'', with unidentified pronged decorator's mark, each decorated throughout the bleu celeste ground with gilt-painted scrollwork and red, blue and white ''jewels'', the saucer reserved with a circular cartouche depicting a musical still life, the cup reserved with an oblong cartouche depicting a young boy playing the flute and a woman in a bucolic setting, framed within a velvet-lined giltwood shadow box, overall: 15.375'' H x 12.125'' W x 5'' D, est: $1000/2000
Condition
Overall good condition, with general wear, surface scratches and minute nicks to ''jewels'' commensurate with age. Not examined outside of the shadow box; each has been glued into the backing. Giltwood frame with minor rubbed wear commensurate with age.
