Set of Six Boch Freres Keramis Napoleon Bonaparte Plates, Belgium, early 20th c. With black transfer depicting Napoleon in the battle field, six various battle scenes. The rims are decorated with Napoleons crest and hat. Each plate 9.50x9.50. PROVENANCE: a Charleston SC Private Estate. The Boch Freres Keramis was founded in 1841, in La Louviere in Belgium, by Eugene and Victor Boch and their brother-in-law. They produced earthenware, stoneware and many other wares. Early pieces resembled Delft and Villeroy & Boch. They were known for their ceramic cloisonne technique otherwise known as gras”and their Art Deco creations from the early 1900's. Boch Freres Keramis closed down in 1985. Each Plate 9.50x9.50. Weight on all 5 pds 13 oz.
