Edmond Francois Aman-Jean (French, 1860-1935) "Femme a la Vase Blue", pastel on paper; signed right center border "Aman-Jean." Gallery labels on verso "Hirschl and Adler Galleries Inc" and "LaFayette Park Gallery." Framed, not examined out of frame. Aman-Jean was a French symbolist painter who co-founded the Salon des Tuileries in 1923. Sight size: 18 1/4" high, 23 1/2" wide. Frame size: 27 3/4" high, 33 1/4" wide. Condition: light scratch/scuff in jar below neck extending upwards to top of forehead, 3 scratches below left wrist, 2 scratches at neck below rim; 4 faint scratches in hair; several small scratches/scuffs in upper border above hair; 1 paper surface tear middle upper border; a few other small losses.
